The Community Services Sector, is a dynamic, fast-growing industry that offers many exciting and rewarding career pathways. The sector is in high demand of a skilled human service workforce and has multiple entries via school based traineeships, vocational education training and academic pathways.

Our Community Services Gateway Schools

The Gateway to Industry Schools Program (GISP) for Community Services Project. This is a key industry engagement strategy for the Department of Employment, Small Business, and Training (DESBT) and aligns with the department’s vision that all Queenslanders have skills and opportunities to manage and adapt, now and into the Future.

The GISP is intended to build partnerships between schools and industry providing opportunities for Queensland School Students to be exposed to a range of learning experiences to assist them in their career choices and pathways to employment.
