Meet Lilly……one of our Youth Ambassadors for Community Services Gateway to Industry Schools Project.
Lilly is currently Year 12 student at Shalom College in Bundaberg. In 2018, and enrolled at TAFE whilst completing Year 11 to begin a Certificate II in Health Support Services. Learning a range of skills both in the classroom and in the community, Lilly has built an understanding the impact of health role in the community services sector.
Participating in work placement at the Bundaberg Private Day Hospital and Grace Family Practice, Lilly was offered casual work as nursing assistant. Her decision to enroll in the Certificate while studying here at school, enabled full time work being offered after completing Year 12 and the opportunity to explore other roles within the sector.
